What is ShortlyAI?
ShortlyAI, launched in August 2020, is the brainchild of Qasim Munye. He designed an AI writing assistant primarily to help businesses and copywriters struggling to write content.
The aim is to make content creators’ jobs easier by allowing users to set up the optimal format for their work and then allow the software to do the heavy lifting.
Munye also developed the program to be as user-friendly as possible so that anyone can use it to generate content without difficulty.
Then, in June 2021, ShortlyAI was bought by the Conversion.ai team (now Jasper AI).
ShortlyAI is a good option for article generation because there are no restrictions to the volume of content it can generate!
This is a GPT-3-based artificial intelligence program (as are most AIs) that assists you in writing all types of material.
You can write anything using it, for example, blog posts, novels, articles, and YouTube scripts. Of course, you’ll have to decorate the post with graphics, links, headlines, etc.
Most AI writing assistants’ central purpose is to assist users in writing fast to focus on other elements of their business. ShortlyAI may be used as a solo word processor and in conjunction with Google Docs or Microsoft Word.
And you don’t have to be concerned about originality because the content created by this AI technology is entirely free of plagiarism.
How Does ShortlyAI Use Machine Learning?
There are good reasons why machine learning and artificial intelligence are revolutionizing the content marketing industry. AI content will significantly impact your marketing approach. Your goal could be to boost efficiency, identify your audience’s search intent, track statistics, or profit from better automation.
Although artificial intelligence for content creation may appear to be novel, it is not. Apps such as Grammarly, the Hemingway App, and Google Translate use AI. However, the transition to AI-powered writing is still in its early stages.
OpenAI’s GPT-3 is a deep learning-based language model that produces human-like text. GPT-3 is an abbreviation for Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3, and it’s the only artificial intelligence that has passed the Turing test.
Who Should Use ShortlyAI?
In a nutshell, ShortlyAI is intended for everyone whose business, job, or another source of revenue relies on producing compelling material quickly and on deadline.
Whether you’re creating a novel or a blog post for your website, try ShortlyAI. It will assist you in transforming your ideas into paragraphs. When you need a creative brainstorming companion, or when you want to expand and develop an idea, use ShortlyAI to get you going.
Just be aware that any AI writing assistant is not the writer, you are, and ShortlyAI is no exception. It may help spark some new ideas, but it won’t write everything for you, you’ll need to put in most of the work.
ShortlyAI may be a good match for:
Bloggers who are having difficulty producing new content regularly
Long-form content writers
Anyone who wishes to save time by not having to write lengthy articles
People dealing with writer’s block
The following industries can use ShortlyAI:
Owners of Agencies
Creators of Content

Do you want to be a more prolific blogger but lack time to develop your own excellent quality content? What if there was an AI technology that could help you create original content while needing almost none of your time?
Many writers swear by AI assistants, and there are plenty on the market to prove it. ShortlyAI could be the right tool for the job. With your help, it can write entire articles from scratch, ready for you to edit.
So, if you want to save hours producing articles, an AI writing assistant like Shortly AI can help. It can generate at least 3 times as many words as a human writer.
I will be testing how well it performs later in the review.
You know you need to write highly engaging copy for your business that interacts directly with your audience, but you’re definitely seeking anything to alleviate your copywriting agony.
ShortlyAI will create copywriting frameworks that you can use to develop something without starting from scratch. ShortlyAI’s Instruct command lets you make any form of copy.
You can use any copywriting structure you like, such as:
Plus many more
YouTube Video Scripts
You’ve probably grown tired of spending hours writing your YouTube video script if you’re a YouTuber. ShortlyAI allows you to write the complete script in a matter of minutes.
You have to use the Teach command and briefly describe the topic. ShortlyAI will complete the script although you’ll have to do some editing.
Social Media Posts
Suppose you manage many social media accounts and don’t have time to develop content for all of them. ShortlyAI can help with your social media updates.
Writing compelling emails might be challenging at times. ShortlyAI assists you in creating appealing and professional emails, email headers, and so on.
ShortlyAI may be able to help you write anything, even if you’re a novelist. All you do is create a new document to begin. Select “Write for me” from the drop-down menu after clicking the “Write a Story” button in the left sidebar.
ShortlyAI will ask if you want to write an article or a story. Choose what you want to do, type in the subject and intro, and click “generate”.
ShortlyAI can generate lengthy articles for you only if you go paragraph by paragraph. This tool, and any other AI writing content generator, cannot generate large amounts of quality content with the click of a button.
Anything Else You Want
You can use this artificial intelligence tool to create content for any form of material. Here are some additional examples of how you can use ShortlyAI as a writing assistant. It can help you to create:
Amazon Product Descriptions
Poems & Stories
YouTube Video Headings
Features & Benefits of Anything
Anything you want
Before-After-Bridge Copywriting Formula
Whether you want to enhance your email CTR (click-through rate) or write an engaging headline, the Bridge-After-Bridge (BAB) formula, divided into 3 sections, can help.
When followed correctly, it is simple to develop AI content that’s compelling enough to motivate your readers to act.
BAB marketing text or copy bridges the gap between your service and the customer. It is the key to content creation with the perfect message, appealing to both the pain and pleasure senses.
If you need to enhance conversions on your website, use the Before-After-Bridge copy for your product or service. Writing it by hand is difficult. ShortlyAI is a writing assistant that can help you construct Before-After-Bridge copy.
Blog Post Outline
Blog post outlines can be tedious and time-consuming. ShortlyAI does it in a second.
This is 1 function I chose to test. I activated the ShortlyAI free trial and got started. The topic I chose was “How to lose weight on a vegan diet.”
I typed the topic in the space provided, hit the button, and what was generated by the AI was pretty good.
There were 4 options, and I could have used any one of them quite happily.
Blog Post Intro Paragraph
Writing a blog post introduction can be pretty tough. Like any social media content, you have to hook your reader in the first sentence and make them want to continue reading.
So, I tested the introduction function using my original header, “How to lose weight on a vegan diet.”
What I got wasn’t great – far too much repetition for me. However, I might have been able to use some of the outlines as ideas and expand them for the final version.
Write YouTube Intro Script
If you’re a YouTuber, check what Shortly AI can do for you. Catchy beginnings are critical for YouTubers to engage their audiences. If your social media audience is not satisfied with your introduction, they won’t watch it and click away from you.
You can produce an impressive start for your YouTube video and incorporate it during recording. I decided to try this feature out for the ShortlyAI review. I used the ShortlyAI free trial to play with this option. Open the AI and start.
Select the Short Form Assistant.
You get a whole lot of great choices – from YouTube descriptions to tags and titles.
Choose the YouTube description option. Write what the video will be about and click the “Generate” button.
Click it a few times, and you’ll keep getting copy generated by the AI writing tool. The content I got was quite sketchy and not really on topic.
Write a Conclusion Paragraph
Writing a good conclusion paragraph can be tricky. You want to wrap up what you’ve been saying in the body of the article. ShortlyAI can help.
You want to leave your reader with a couple of sentences that will interest them, get them curious, and maybe entice them to check out more of your content on social media. Many content authors find it challenging to write an article-satisfying ending paragraph.
I’m still on the “Short articles .” Type the topic and description of your article in the spaces provided. Then enter the command “Conclusion paragraph,” and you’ll get a page like this.
Click “Blog conclusion paragraph”, and you’ll get this.
Click on the “Generate” button, and I get a list of options. With some tweaking, I’ll be able to use what ShortlyAI gives me.
The headline is the first thing that will catch your readers’ attention. To raise the CTR, it must be snappy and appealing. However, writing a compelling title may take a long time for some people.
If you have difficulties with this step, ShortlyAI can help you create a title for your next article or video.
Write the Article
If you click the “Write for me” button, your AI reads the text in front of the cursor, including the title and background information/article brief you have written in the box.
It’s how it predicts your future words and sentences. This is a basic but critical concept to grasp since what you write affects what the AI writes.
Please note that the AI learns from you – so what you write to prompt it is very important. ShortlyAI writing helper is a program that utilizes sophisticated technology to generate text at breakneck speeds. The AI collects material from many sources on the internet and compiles it into your content.
It is also important to note that the amount of your text that your AI can see at any given time is limited. When your text exceeds 1200 words, the AI will only view the last 1200 words, the title, and the background information/article brief.
Ease of Use
ShortlyAI’s user interface is super-simple, user-friendly, and easy to use. The directions are presented comfortably for most users.
It will take some time to learn how to use it, as with any new platform, but it was extremely straightforward for me to jump in and begin producing long- and short-form blog pieces.
Options for Customization
You can pick between short- and long-form content when writing in the editor tool. When you select “write for me,” the AI will write as much as you require for that session.
ShortlyAI Text Commands
Most artificial intelligence applications have writing functions listed in menus, but ShortlyAI has implemented these as text commands.
ShortlyAI provides 4 basic commands:
ShortlyAI’s most critical and powerful command is the Instruct command. You can ask for anything to be created by using this command. ShortlyAI may be programmed to generate any form of quality content.
Other commands you can use include /rewrite, /shorten, and /expand, which should all be self-explanatory.
Review – ShortlyAI: Is It The Best AI Writing Assistant On The Market Today?
Doing the research for the ShortlyAI review led me to acknowledge that it’s an AI content writing assistant tool with some drawbacks. However, you’ll find similar drawbacks in just about all AI writing helpers so I didn’t count them against the AI.
ShortlyAI can write articles, video scripts, emails, and many other types of material based on basic instructions.
The biggest issue is that the tool tends to misunderstand what you want it to write.
I tried to get it to write a ShortlyAI review, and I got a lot of stuff about a training program in Ireland. You have to be pretty specific when you write the prompts.
The machine-generated language requires a human review, edit, and a critical eye to ensure that the data is correct, which is frequently not the case, meaning that you should check everything.
ShortlyAI learned to write by reading and evaluating human content and then mimicking it. However, during the imitation process, the AI is unaware that it should use names of real books, authors, quotations, and so on rather than phony ones.
I spent a significant amount of time leading ShortlyAI for a short article by offering context, improving the text’s coherence, and authoring a portion of the content myself.
Although this strategy helped me minimize the time I usually invest per article, I couldn’t develop a compelling piece without some effort. This is far from “10x faster” as the advertising promises.
We’ve all heard that writer’s block is a typical issue for content writers. If you want to deal with this issue, try ShortlyAI. While I can’t say it’s the best writing AI on the market today, it does give you frameworks for your articles and you’ll often get pretty good ideas on your content outlines.
ShortlyAI pricing is pretty straightforward. You can opt for the ShortlyAI monthly plan at $79/month, or $65/month if you pay annually to get unlimited word credit and access to all the offered features.
There’s a ShortlyAI free trial you can try. You need your email address and password to access all the features. You can only write 300 words using the ShortlyAI free trial, so use it carefully.

Most AI writing assistant tools like ShortlyAI cannot write with a specific tone or brand voice in mind, nor can it check facts – AIs have not been “taught” to do so.
You will have trouble building or sustaining credibility if your content is inconsistent or inaccurate, so you must check your facts carefully.
Although the ShortlyAI tool can assist you with overcoming writer’s block, it cannot produce original ideas.
It is vital to highlight that your input is required for this technology to succeed. You would need to supply a topic or quality content before the AI writer can take over and give you story development.
Finally, ShortlyAI can work for you if you’re just starting and trying to find the simplest AI creative writing assistant out there.
It’s straightforward to use, and the generated content can be pretty good but needs extensive editing.
Just bear in mind that no AI writing assistant has been invented that can do all the work for you. ShortlyAI, like most, can only help. But for many people, it’s a big help!
